About New Age Music

“New Age” is an illusive term for an equally illusive type of music. Drawing from the musical influence of the Impressionists in combination with contemporary elements, New Age Music offers the performer a wealth of coloristic sound combinations. Compositions are usually “flowing and resonant” and interpretive. This contemporary genre of music often deals with natural phenomena and provides an impression of nature. It engages the listener to experience a feeling or mood, frequently one of introspection, peace and calm, or by contrast evokes feelings of high energy.” – From Neil A. Kjos Piano Library

  2. Excellent items from you, man. I’ve take into accout your stuff previous to
and you are simply too great. I actually like what you’ve received here,
certainly like what you are saying and the way in which through
which you assert it. You’re making it enjoyable and
you continue to care for to stay it sensible. I can’t wait

    • Thanks so much! I know it’s not “flashy” and I don’t get involved in the science of promotion methods but hope the blog can be like the oasis in the movie “silent running” that a few people at least can find. I’m late doing more composing this summer because of needing to finish up some animated videos for a site that teachers can go and download teaching materials (before the school year starts). Those files are focused on helping children appreciate the natural world. But after that, there are some scribbles to turn into new pieces…
